WYSIWYG Tool
This is one of a few options for editing content in Aurora. Please see the following article for details on managing these options.
What is this and what does it do?
WYSIWYG stands for "What You See Is What You Get" and is an interface intended to allow you to edit richly formatted text with colours, images, and videos by way of a simple user interface. You might say that it tries to mimic a Word Processor in your browser.
Aurora provides such an interface in a number of locations to allow you to more easily manage your content, but you will often find that you need to 'switch it on' before you can use it. This is done to reduce unnecessary resource use, and because often when managing HTML content it can be undesirable to have the WYSIWYG modifying it, as this can produce unexpected results.
When you're logged in as an administrator you can inline edit your pages whilst viewing them. As a precaution when Smarty is enabled for your page, the WYSIWYG editor will be loaded on-demand with the original page content.
To start editing you must hover over, with your mouse cursor, the page content, and then when the "Edit" button appears click it.
When you are ready with the changes hit the "Save" button and then the page will reload; and this is because the page needs to refresh the dynamic data rendered from Smarty tags.
