Emails
Aurora Emails can be managed in both the Front-end Templates and the Aurora Back-end and provide a wide range of points/channels of contact for you to reach your customers, e.g. when dispatching orders, retrieving passwords, verifying email addresses, etc.
This article briefly describes the emails available to you in Aurora and how to manage them in their various forms.
Required Templates
The following templates are required by Aurora and used for various messages sent by the system. If you omit/remove these templates, then some systems may not operate as expected:
- emails/standard.tpl.html
- emails/basket.tpl.html
Introduction
Here you can manage the emails sent to customers at different stages of the order process (i.e. cancelled order, invoice, refund, dispatch notices).

Configuration
Configuration for Order Emails can be found in the Aurora Back-end, under Store > Settings > Aurora > Emails.
Order Email Strategy
Here you can select which email address to send order emails to. You can select from Shipping & Billing. The default is Billing.
Failed Orders / Basket Reminders will always send to the billing email regardless of the setting. All other order emails will honour the configured strategy.
