DotMailer Guide
This article details the configuration options available and where to find them in Aurora.
Introduction
DotMailer allows you to collect customer email addresses and deploy advanced email campaigns. The Aurora DotMailer Integration permits you to share your customer's email addresses with DotMailer for this purpose. Aurora does not support broad bulk email delivery to your customer base as it deal exclusively with emails related directly to orders placed by your customers. This being so, if you would like to start to run email campaigns to promote your Store and it's products, please consider a service such is this.
This article will help you quickly setup Aurora to work with your dotMailer account.
What does Aurora send to dotMailer?
Aurora will send all contacts (email addresses and phone numbers) collected during the order placement and newsletter sign processes to dotMailer.
Aurora attempts to include a range of helpful statistics and data sources for you in this feed also for you to make use of in dotMailer however you see fit. Currently included is:
- totalorders - The total number of orders placed by the customer (if any).
- email, first name, last name, country and postcode.
- phone number - Only the main phone number registered in Aurora is currently sent to dotMailer.
- User Additional Fields - If you have configured any custom User Additional Fields in Aurora, then these will all automatically be sent to dotMailer for you to use.
Aurora will export the above data as named above and so you should set-up your dotMailer account to accommodate these fields as listed above and then they should be populated without issue when sent by Aurora.
If you would like additional data added to this list, then please contact your Digital Agency for a quote to have the information added.
