Site Text
The Site Text feature of Aurora allows you to dynamically manage the text used throughout your store, across differing languages, with ease.
This article helps get you started.
Introduction
Instead of "hard coding" text to appear on your store, you can represent a string of text with a piece of Site Text. Each piece of Site Text can then be used in multiple places - including multiple times on one page, or on many different pages.
This has two main benefits:
- When you update the original piece of Site Text in Aurora, it will automatically update all instances of that piece of Site Text in your store - on every page.
- If your store utilises multiple languages, or you add another language later, you can easily add translations of Site Text to dynamically appear when your store is viewed in another language.
Site Text can be used in numerous situations...
For example, you could use the same piece of Site Text to display as a link, the alt text for an image, a tool tip for a button and as the default value for a field.
In this article, we'll give an overview of how to view, search and audit your store for Site Text.
