Scurri Guide

Scurri is a single platform where you can prepare, despatch, and track all of your shipments for your customers regardless of what carriers you use. Aurora has been integrated to take advantage of Scurri.

Introduction

This article covers the Aurora integration with Scurri. For more information on Scurri please see www.scurri.co.uk.

This guide will help you quickly setup Aurora to work with your Scurri account.

Configuration

Providing you have an account with Scurri, to link your account to Aurora, go to the Store > Settings > Shipping tab and review the following options:

Shipping Service - Select "Scurri" to start using Scurri as your shipping service. This may have previously been set to use an alternative integration.

Further down the Shipping tab, you'll find the below Scurri options:

👍

We strongly recommend that your Aurora and Scurri shipping rules are thoroughly tested with a test account prior to go live.

Service Groups

Aurora uses service groups to fulfil the integration with Scurri. These groups are setup within your Scurri account, given a code (such as 'FIRSTCLASS', 'NEXTDAY', 'STANDARD' etc). When Aurora sends an order to Scurri for allocation, the service group code will be sent with the request and Scurri will assign a carrier from within this service group.

For this to work, each shipping rule within Aurora must have a relevant service group code setup in Scurri. Scurri should provide a list of all available "Courier Services" and their codes in order to insert in Aurora.

This can be found by going to Shipping > Rules and editing each relevant top level rule.

Integration Processes

Aurora contains several Scurri integration processes that will be enabled by Aurora Commerce on request of this service. Each command is executed by Aurora on a regular basis to perform the various integration processes; these processes are:

  • Allocate Orders - Look for orders waiting for allocation and send to the Scurri system. Normally this is run every 15 minutes.
  • Update Orders - Update Aurora order courier and tracking details (when changed in the Scurri system). Normally run once a day.
  • Update Couriers - Update the couriers in Aurora with the carrier services setup in the Scurri system.
  • Update Despatched - Update Aurora orders that have been despatched in the Scurri system (this also sends a despatched email to the customer). Normally run once a day.

📘

To increase or decrease the frequency that these processes are run, or to specify a tailored schedule for your store, please contact your Aurora Account Manager.
