Introduction

The Aurora New Order page supports a range of payment methods, including the supported Gift Card services. You are able to add one or more (up to a limit of 10) Gift cards to the Back-end New Order page for payment of an order.

Once you have configured your Gift Cards, if there is any further payment required, then this additional payment will be requested by means of one of the other payment services (e.g. Card, Cheque, BACS, etc.).

Please note that if you have not configured any of the Gift Card services, then you may not see the Gift Card payment options at all.

Adding a Gift Card

Once you have configured the basket with the items to be purchased, you can add Gift Cards to the checkout using the ADD GIFT CARD button found above the payment options section.

On doing so, you will be presented with the Gift Card form to input your first Gift Card.

You can click this button as many times as you wish to provide gift cards and a new form will appear for each one (up to the limit of 10).

You should complete as many of the elements of this form as you can, leaving any fields you do not have for a card unset, and then click the VALIDATE CARD button to have Aurora confirm the card and it's security details are correct.

Different services (and even different cards within a single service) will include/require different combinations of CVV/PIN, Card Number and Expiry values. Some may not require PIN or Expiry at all, but all will require a Card Number.

As such, you should provide the values you have and Aurora will validate the card based on the provided values, returning an error if the particular card being checked is missing details it requires based on the configuration of the 3rd Party Gift Card service being used.

On success the form will be replaced with the card details and the value remaining on the card. The form will then become uneditable, ready for use during checkout.

Once you have this, you can proceed to complete your other payment options and process the order.

Aurora will attempt to take the entire amount from the Gift Cards, leaving any remainder to be taken from another standard payment method.

It is not possible to take only a partial payment from a Gift Card unless the order total is less than the balance available on the Card.
