Feefo User Guide

Feefo is a Customer Review service that allows you to take and report on customer feedback resulting from orders placed on your site. Aurora is integrated with this service allowing orders to be exported and Reviews to be imported for products. For more information about what this service can do for you, please contact Feefo directly.

This article describes what Aurora can do with the Feefo service and how to use it.

Overview

Aurora's support of Feefo includes the following:

  • Exporting of products ordered in CSV format for delivery to Feefo.
  • Importing of reviews created by customers via the Feefo service.

📘

If you require anything more than the above, please contact your Aurora Commerce Account Manager for a quote, please provide as much detail regarding your requirements as possible.

How to Set-up Feefo in Aurora

To enable the Feefo service in Aurora, simply go to the Aurora Back-end and find the Store > Settings > Feeds > Feefo section.

For here you can set whether the service should be enabled or not and also what the Logon and Merchant Identifier value should be.

👍

Your Merchant Identifier is used for Feefo API v3.0 and the exporting of orders. It is different to your Logon and both are required.

🚧

Please note that the 'Logon' value is not necessarily the same as the username you use to Login to the Feefo website.

Aurora is configured to assume it is in fact the domain of your site, e.g. www.aurorademo.co.uk, but you can check this with the Feefo support team.

❗️

If the Logon for your Feefo service is not the same as your domain name, then Aurora's Feefo integration will not work as expected. We have not experienced this yet, but if you do, then please contact your Aurora Commerce Account Manager for a quote to have this addressed.

Restricting Access

The order export file can be accessed by anyone that has the URL, making your orders open to all that know how to download them. If you tick the "Restrict Access" box however, then Aurora will reject any request that does not come from one of the Feefo IPs. These IPs are issued to us by Feefo and are listed below. If these IPs change at any point, then Feefo must issue you with the new IPs and then your Aurora Commerce Account Manager will provide a quote for the work required to update these IPs.

  • 89.151.77.8
  • 89.151.77.9
  • 194.73.84.3

Exporting Ordered Products to Feefo

Once an order is placed and has been dispatched, you can export them for Feefo using the following URL on your own domain. Simply replace "www.aurorademo.co.uk" with your own domain name to see the report.

http://www.aurorademo.co.uk/datafeeds/feefo/export-orders

🚧

If this URL does not work for you, then you may require an update to get it working. If so, please contact your Aurora Commerce Account Manager for more details and a quote for the update.

❗️

This export includes all items dispatched within the last day. Therefore, if called twice in the same 24 hour period, duplicate orders will be found.

How to set-up your feed

The simplest way to get this service running fully is to take the working export URL above and send it to Feefo and ask them to collect its contents on a daily basis. They should then do this for you and your ordered products will be sent to Feefo every day without any further hassle.

Alternatively, you can use the Manual Upload options provided by Feefo to get your ordered items into Feefo. You can do this by downloading the exported CSV of ordered items and uploading this to Feefo via the Feefo Website.

📘

For more information on using Feefo's manual uploading features, please contact Feefo's support team directly as we cannot provide support for 3rd Party Platforms.

Importing Reviews

Once you have enabled the Feefo integration in the Aurora Back-end as described in the "How to Set-up Feefo in Aurora" section above, your reviews will be imported from Feefo once a day at around midnight.

🚧

There is presently no way to accelerate this process without involving an Aurora Commerce Developer.

If you require this to be performed on an alternate schedule, then please detail your requirements in a request to your Aurora Commerce Account Manager for a quote.

F. A. Q.

Q. I cannot access the Order Export, why?

There are two common causes for this:

  1. You have the "Restrict Access" option enabled, as detailed in the "How to Set-up Feefo in Aurora: Restricting Access" section above. It is usually perfectly safe to disable this for a short period of time if you need to manually download or check this feed.
  2. You are running an older version of Aurora than is supported. In this instance, you may need to have a full update performed on your site to enable the new code.

Q. Why are my orders not appearing in the export?

Ordered items only appear in the feed if:

  • The order has been dispatched (as Feefo expect the customer to have received their goods before being able to review them).
  • The order was dispatched in the last 24 hours (order dispatched before this are not included in the export as they are assumed to have already been sent).
