Introduction
Aurora Customers and Administrators alike must have a secure password to login to the various secure areas of Aurora. You are able to control how 'complicated' the passwords of both user types must be in order to be allowed by Aurora during Customer and Administrator Account creation and when the password is changed. This includes requiring:
- A minimum number of characters
- An uppercase letter
- A number
- A capital letter
- A symbol
All of the above can be turned on or off as required from the Aurora Back-end Store > Settings > Security section, see How to Manage Aurora Password Complexity.
How to manage Aurora Password complexity
From the Aurora Back-end under Store > Settings > Security you are able to control all of the following, as shown in the screenshot below:
- The minimum number of characters
- Whether an uppercase letter is required
- Whether a number is required
- Whether a capital letter is required
- Whether a symbol is required
Changing these settings has no impact on existing passwords already created in Aurora. Doing so will simply prevent the users from creating new passwords that do not meet your security preference.
